THE '30s...

Here are some more pics from my Dad's private collection... Most of these photos were found at flea markets, swap meets, antique stores, and such.  He's been collecting these for about 25 years, and now they're online for all to see...

This is probably my favorite pic on the whole site... You don't find many photos of customs from this period.  This little Ford (a '37?) is outfitted with ornamented skirts, pipes, and loads of other accessories like dual spots, dual antennas, greyhound hood ornament, and bumper guards...
This guy looks like a salesman... He's staning with what appears to be a 1935 Chevrolet...
  Can anyone ID this car?...
Check out this cute little 1931 Chevrolet, complete with an airplane propeller hood ornament/radiator cap... This appears to be a brand new car...
This appears to be a 1933 Pontiac...
This is pretty cool... It's a big 1938 Cadillac police car, probably the Captain's... It appears to be a limo...
  This photo is a little blurry... I'm guessing it's a 1931 Chevy...
Check out the Moose horns on the front of this big Buick...
This appears to be a Dodge...
This is definitely a mobster-type car... Very cool pic of a 1938 Lincoln...
This is a neat photo... Follow the thumbnail for the standard sized image, or click HERE for a larger version...
"Hi Baby"... This one looks like a 1934 Buick
I love this photo... This poor little Model A is hanging out of the back of a truck.  Click HERE for a large version, or follow the thumbnail for the 56K dial up version...
That appears to be a 1934 Cadillac in the background...
  Name that car...
Little girl sitting in front of what appears to be a Packard Convertible...
This appears to be a telephone repair truck...
  Any ideas?...
Here's that same Buick... What a fancy dresser!
Any ideas?... UPDATE: 06 DEC 2004 - Huff Report reader Bertil Olsson, in Sweden identified this car, and I've included his comments as a footnote below ***
  Any ideas?... I'm thinking it's a Buick...

*** FOOTNOTE:  "You are asking for the make of some of the cars, among them this one. I own a Plymouth PF 1934, and I can see that the car you are asking for is a Plymouth PE, not a PF, 1934. The PE was a little bit more luxurious than the PF,. Simplest was the PG-model. If you look at the front you can see the Plymouth sign, the Plymouth ship.
There was another picture, which I think was a Studebaker, ca 1940-41.
Tank you again for your articles and pictures!!!"
