2010 STUFF:

04 DEC 2010:  AUCTION FEVER - THE JOE SHROLEZ COLLECTION:  Amazing stuff from New Jersey, via small town Illinois.... It must have required some 18 wheelers to bring in this fabulous collection!

04 DEC 2010:  AUCTION FEVER - THE MOTOEXOTICA/MANNHEIM AUCTION:   More cool cars from Motoexotica and friends!  Click right HERE...

17 OCT 2010:  HERSHEY SWAP MEET:  As always, interesting stuff was on display...

17 OCT 2010:  ST LOUIS CADILLACS:  Some cool Cads showed up in Faust Park recently... Here are some pics.

17 OCT 2010:  NICKEL AND BRASS:  The older stuff is always fun to look at, but let's face it, fewer and fewer shows these days feature cars from the earliest days of motoring. So when you do have a bunch of early cars on display, it's even better if your show has a narator available to interview the car's owners to tell you about their fabulous histories.  I certainly learned some things on this wonderful Saturday at the Museum of Transportation...  Click here for photos!

22 AUG 2010:  BUICK CLUB OF AMERICA MEET - DISASTER NARROWLY AVOIDED:  By early August, the site of this year's show was completely submerged by floods.  Can you imagine if this big meet, held in late July, on the grounds of Iowa State University, had been just a few days later???  For all you guys out there who are helping plan national meets for your club, the weather, and the risks are worth considering.  After all, these things are typically held in the summer, and that means there is always the potential for problems. From what I've heard, the Cad-LaSalle Club's national meet in Kansas City was so hot that no one spent much time out on the show field, and turnout was low... Pick a good place for the thing, and do it at the right time of the year.... Anyway, here are a whole bunch of pics from this year's BCA Nats...

21 AUG 2010:  MUSEUM OF TRANSPORTATION FATHER'S DAY SHOW:  Here are a few photos from this year's big show, held back in July...

21 AUG 2010:  THE MOTOEXOTICA AUCTION:  I love those cars that you just don't see every weekend at the local cruise-in, so it was refreshing to see these gems at the recent Mannheim/Motoexotica auction... Click HERE.

08 JUL 2010:  FENTON:  A lot of neat stuff has been showing up this season for the big Fenton Cruise... That big '34 Ford phaeton belongs to our buddy Dave, which his dad bought in 1963, up in Staunton, Illinois.  She's still wearing her circa 1975 paint, and it looks great even after all these years.  I'm not sure what kind of paint that is... nitrocellulose lacquer maybe?  Dunno.  But I do know she'd bring a fortune at Barrett-Jackson, as everything is just right about that car... That photo was taken in early May, on the same night the fabulous Bevo Boat Car showed up, just back from the big Amelia Island concours... This month was good too... For a whole slew of photos from the July Fenton Cruise go HERE.

UPCOMING:  THE MUSEUM OF TRANSPORTATION - CRUISE NIGHT:  If you're anywhere in St. Louis, you'll want to come out to the Museum of Transportation for their first ever Cruise Night show, on FRIDAY, July 16, 2010.   Go HERE for more info!

23 MAY 2010:  THE KEMP MUSEUM INVITATIONAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW:  Here are a few random photos taken today at the big Kemp Show.  Click HERE...

18 MAY 2010:  CHICKASHA:  Go HERE for some photos from this year's Chickasha Meet held back in March.... It's all pre-war, and is a must-attend event for more and more guys across the country, as that early stuff just gets harder and harder to find every year.

27 MAR 2010:  NO PISSY ATTITUDES:  The Huff Report visits a very cool private collection.... Go HERE for exclusive pics.

07 JAN 2010:  THE MERCURY XM-800:  OK, so it's almost Barrett-Jackson time again, except this year, the concept cars seem to be over at the RM Auctions site.  Click HERE for a neat promo for the Merc XM-800 that I found on youtube....

07 JAN 2010:  LOST PINKNEYVILLE PICS:   I had completely forgotten about these PHOTOS from last summer... These were snapped in southern Illinois at one of the most unusual meets in the midwest.  If you're anywhere in the midwest, it's not too early to start planning for this year's meet.  I think this one is held in mid-August...

ã2003-2013: THE HUFF REPORT

"Have a good time. You don't have a long time...."
