"CRUISE 66"... A BUNCH OF CAR-CRAZY
NORWEGIANS DRIVE ACROSS AMERICA!
Maybe some of you noticed a link on this site a few months ago talking about the adventures of a whole slew of Norwegians who had decided to ship their beautiful cars to the US, so they could drive from Chicago to L.A., via Route 66... Well, my luck was bad this summer, as their only night in St. Louis happened to fall on a night that I was out of town! My trusty dad, however, was fortunate to catch these guys down near the old train station, and he snapped these photos in the parking garage. For more info on the first leg of their cross-country adventure, visit cruise66.com... I keep hoping they'll update their site, as I'd love to see these cars at some of those great roadside stops in Arizona and New Mexico. And, yes, as you can see in the photo, that gorgeous Merc convertible did get sideswiped in Chicago. If you look closely you can see the damage... But, otherwise, I suspect they had a blast... |
